  1. Keep dust and grit to a minimum. Using mats in entries is an excellent way to reduce grit.
  2. Vacuum or sweep with a soft head. Some stiff bristles will damage a floor coating. A soft head is essential.
  3. Use a non-residual timber floor solution in your water when damp mopping the floor. Never flood a timber floor with water. A damp mop is ideal.
  4. Do not use a strong soapy solution on the floor as it will make the floor streaky and dull.
  5. Use felts under furniture to reduce and tendency to scratching

High Humidity Is a Concern for Timber Floors
